New Partner Strengthens Vinson & Elkins in Houston

Law firm Vinson & Elkins has further bolstered their finance practice group in Houston with the addition of a new partner. Trevor Wommack will focus his practice on syndicated lending in the energy industry. Wommack is joining V&E from Bracewell.

Being ranked in Chambers USA, Texas, Banking & Finance, 2013-2015 as a top attorney further gives credit to Wommack’s abilities as an energy finance attorney. Wommack has regularly handled a variety of lender-side work in the energy space, emphasizing upstream exploration and production reserve-based financings. He also has dealt with representing foreign and domestic lending institutions as administrative agents in relation to upstream, midstream and energy services credit facilities such as revolving loans, letter of credit facilities, term loans, swingline facilities, and bank guarantee facilities. He has even represented lenders in workout and pre-bankruptcy situations. Some of the institutions he has represented include Bank of America, Macquarie, JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, and Societe General.
