Dewey Defers Payments to be made to Partners

Dewey & LeBoeuf is not only cutting down on its legal staff but also is asking some of its partners to share the pain. The law firm has apparently asked some of its partners to defer the compensation that was due to them for the year 2011 and the total amount is supposed to be in the range of $70 million to $120 million. Other sources who do not want to be named have also said that the newer partners will not be asked to make the sacrifice, especially if they are bringing in their fair share.
