Holland & Knight Open Office in Colombia

Miami-based law firm Holland & Knight is opening a new office in Bogota, Colombia's capital. The Bogotá branch will be the fourth international office for Holland & Knight. The other three are in Beijing, Abu Dhabi, and Mexico City. It also has working relationships with law firms in several other countries.

Managing partner Steve Sonberg credited the expansion to the fact that the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement has made Colombia an attractive destination for American businesses. The firm plans to offer its services primarily in international arbitration and mergers and acquisitions along with other services.
