Taft Stettinius Will Be Acquiring Chester On January 2.
In the merger mania, nearly 14 tie ups took place in the third quarter showing no sign of slowing in the waning months of the year. Taft Stettinius & Hollister, one of Ohio's largest firms, has plans to acquire a 30-lawyer Columbus shop Chester Willcox & Saxbe. After the official merger which is expected to occur on January 2, the newly merged entity will have roughly 330 lawyers in four offices in Ohio, as well as outposts in Covington, Kentucky; Indianapolis; and Phoenix.
