Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join their team in Miami, FL. This primarily remote position requires candidates to reside in South Florida and be available for occasional in-person meetings. The role involves handling cases from inception through resolution with oversight and assistance from other lawyers.

Duties

• Investigate new cases and create strategic plans.
• Draft complaints and pursue discovery.
• Draft and argue motions.
• Take depositions and work directly with clients.
• Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy.
• Participate in trials in both State and Federal courts.
• Communicate with partners, clients, and defense counsel.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
• At least 5 years in practice, with a minimum of 3 years in civil litigation.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases.
• Professional judgment, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

Education

• Undergraduate degree earned with honors unless from a Top 75 University.
• Law degree from a Top 50 law school, or with honors from a Top 100 law school, or with high honors from a law school not in the Top 100.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
