Ex Watkins Shareholders Sue The Firm
Jackson, Mississippi–based firm, Watkins Ludlam Winter & Stennis, and its board of directors have been sued by two former shareholders, F. Hall Bailey and Vikki Taylor. This was a result of the planned merger between professional home and Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrere & Denegre. As per the complaint, the plaintiffs were informed not to join Jones Walker after the merger and were asked to voluntarily resign. Jones Walker will have about 375 lawyers after the union. The firm has been expanding in the Gulf Coast region in recent years, including in Alabama and Louisiana.
