Municipal authorities have fought with a billboard companies and property owners who disobeyed a local ban on supergraphics. Last year, the multistory advertisement draped on city's tallest buildings, fell after the city achieved a crucial victory at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, overturning a federal district court decision. World Wide Rush and owner Barry Rush has filed a legal malpractice lawsuit against Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, claiming that the firm committed professional negligence by advising Rush to put up as many of the controversial signs as possible after the lower court ruling struck down the ban. The lawsuit also claims that the law firm's advice led to the demise of WWR.
