Sullivan & Cromwell leads the ranks of global law firms
According to Mergermarket's latest analysis, Sullivan & Cromwell leads the ranks of global law firms handling deals with a total value of $317.2 billion through the first nine months of 2011. S&C worked on five of the ten largest announced deals this year. It also topped the Mergermarket rankings after the second quarter. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett ranked second with advising on deals worth $295.5 billion. An average increase of 40.5 percent in overall deal value was seen in the ten top firms for 2011's first three quarters compared to the same period last year.
