Richard Finci has been reappointed for third consecutive term with the Maryland State Commission on Criminal Sentencing Policy. He is a partner with Houlon, Berman, Bergman, Finci, Levenstein & Skok. He is a criminal defense attorney who serves clients of Maryland and Washington, DC. He will act as commissioner with the commission which makes recommendations about Maryland's sentencing guidelines. This commission was created to ensure fairness in criminal sentencing and to foster a public understanding of the sentencing process. It is a 19 - member commission that oversees the state's sentencing guidelines, monitors sentencing practices, adopts changes to the guidelines, and provides training for practitioners.
