Reed Smith appointed Dorsey partner for Shanghai opening
Reed Smith, a top international law firm, has recently acquired Jay Yan, former manager of Dorsey Whitney's Shanghai office, to head its own office in Shanghai. Reed Smith hopes that Yan's experience, expertise and history will help solidify its interests in Asia. The firm is expected to open immediately after is receives its license. The firm is hiring lawyers to expand its Shanghai team. It is planning to open offices in Geneva and Singapore.
