Big Changes for Latham & Watkins
It was announced late last week that Latham & Watkins were making big changes to their offices on the left coast, including the addition of six partners to Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Roger Chin and Julie Holloway are two partners who will be overseeing the San Francisco area while Ron Shulman, Richard Frenkel, Terry Kearney and Michael Ladra will cover the bases in Silicon Valley. All six partners come from Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati. The firm works with various companies, including pharmaceutical and semiconductor companies, in their litigation needs. A new shift related to IP legalities and matters is also expected in the short term in an effort to ''complement corporate practice''.
