European Commission Sued By Italian Energy Trader
The Milan-based energy trader The Cube Srl, is suing the European Commission in order to recover over 200,000 allowances it had stolen last November. The company asked for up to $135,000 a day from the EC, according to their lawyer, Laurent Arnauts, head of the Brussels-based firm, Arnauts.
A spokesman for the commission, Isaac Valero-Ladron, said the commission is ''confident that the court will side with [them].''
