Lynn Langley is a recruiter with BCG’s Los Angeles office. She handles partner, counsel and associate placements in firms of all sizes throughout the West Coast, including California, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, as well as internationally.
Ms. Langley is a former practicing attorney who now uses her advocacy skills to help fellow lawyers looking to make a change. Her clients come to her for all sorts of reasons, including needing to relocate, falling prey to a downsizing, or just wanting to explore options. She has a strong desire to help people on a personal level and derives great satisfaction from helping her candidates find their ideal jobs.
After law school, Ms. Langley practiced family and matrimonial law for about twenty years with various firms, including the Law Offices of Norman M. Dolin, the Law Offices of Honey Kessler Amado, and the Law Offices of Lynn Soodik. She represented many high profile/high net worth clients and handled trial and transactional matters as well as appeals.
The highlight of her legal career is her published California Supreme Court case, which made international news when the decision was rendered, Kristine H. v. Lisa R. (2005) 37 Cal.4th 156.
Ms. Langley has travelled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. Her journeys have taken her to Australia, India, Sri Lanka, Asia, Israel, England, Europe, Africa, Peru and India.
She has trekked through the Andes and the Himalayas, but these days she sticks to day hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains. She also enjoys reading nonfiction travel books and international fiction.
" I thought Lynn was really great. She didn't push me into one corner or another. I had some really aggressive experiences with recruiters, one of whom actually disclosed to people at the firm that I was looking to try to attract them as well and things like that. I really appreciated that she handled herself ethically. My experience was professional and above board. BCG did all of the work, and they really earned their commission. They were aggressive in contact, and from my experience they did everything I would have wanted them to do.
Working with BCG made my job easier because they provided all the listings and I submitted [my choices]. They gave me advice regarding how to interview and things like that. It was very good.
The first three words that come to mind when I think of BCG are aggressive, large, and significant. I would rank BCG right at the top compared to other recruiting companies I have worked with.
I'd recommend Lynn. To me, just candidly, it is about the individuals. I was lucky to work with one of the best people, and I would recommend her. I think there were also great materials. To me it's 90% about your person and 10% about the firm."

" Brian and Lynn placed me at a top law firm, and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking an excellent legal job. My goal was to work at a law firm where I could make a valuable contribution with my particular background. From the first day that I began working with Brian and Lynn, they were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. They gave me invaluable advice and answered all of my questions throughout the process. Brian and Lynn worked very hard in finding every opportunity that could be a good fit for me. They are highly regarded and well connected in the legal community, so I knew that I was in good hands. Brian and Lynn placed me at a law firm that is the perfect fit for me given my career aspirations and I am very grateful for all their help."
"Thank you for everything you've done for me. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into helping me find a job. I definitely couldn't have landed this gig without you."
"Thanks again for all your hard work at helping me find a spot at [the new firm]! I can truly say three weeks in that this has been a perfect fit for me and a place where I hope to pursue partnership at! I have already been entrusted on a number of interesting projects, and the lawyer whom I have worked with told me I was the best associate he has ever worked with! The main thing I'd like to communicate is that I really appreciated your encouragement to pursue all avenues. This firm was not one I recognized and I initially thought about whether it was worth pursuing, but boy am I glad I did! You really never know when the right opportunity will present itself."
"I just now faxed and mailed the signed offer letter. Thanks for all your help! I think this will be a very good move for me. Just have to get through the hard part of actually packing and moving."
"Thanks again for helping me land this job. It's been great so far!"
