Job Overview:
A law firm in Mount Laurel, NJ, seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with experience in insurance defense or related settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to independently develop defense strategies and represent clients effectively.

Job Details:

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues to develop well-reasoned defense strategies for clients.
• Conduct extensive legal research and prepare pleadings, written discovery, depositions (expert de bene esse/fact), motions, and briefs supporting defense strategies.
• Provide timely and effective communication, legal advice, and services to clients and claims on legal and factual matters.
• Communicate professionally with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel following established office procedures.
• Promptly and efficiently handle assigned cases to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Assist in preparing and presenting witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial and administrative hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolutions.
• Prior experience in insurance defense and/or professional liability is preferred.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in NJ is required; admission in PA is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense or a related setting.
• Litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, preparing and filing discovery motions, and oral argument experience.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic to handle caseload efficiently and effectively.
