Mid to Senior Employment Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in Portland is seeking a Mid to Senior Employment Law Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience handling employment law matters. The candidate will serve in all phases of litigation with increasing responsibility for file management, including legal research, drafting pleadings, reviewing and propounding discovery, managing files, and appearing and presenting arguments at hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated trial experience and/or trial preparation experience. Must be admitted to practice in Oregon, and Washington experience is a plus. Defense of employment law matters, including advising and representing clients in employment-related commercial litigation and employment law advice and litigation, is required.

Duties:

• Serve in all phases of litigation with increasing responsibility for file management.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings.
• Review and propound discovery.
• Manage files and appear and present arguments at hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Defense of employment law matters, including advising and representing clients in employment-related commercial litigation and employment law advice and litigation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Oregon, Washington experience is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience handling employment law matters.
