General Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities, requirements, and qualifications:

Job Overview: The General Liability Associate Attorney will handle file review, legal analysis, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, conducting legal research, and collaborating with expert witnesses. This position requires a J.D. degree, admission to practice in Illinois, and a minimum of 2+ years of experience in General Liability.

Duties:

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Maintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hours.
• Regularly represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for trials and attend as necessary.
• It may require occasional travel.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in General Liability.
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to practice in the state of Illinois.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong research abilities and written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client skills and telephone manners.
