Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced securities lawyer to join their Investment Funds Group. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in managing structured securities offerings, with a strong focus on commercial real estate law, including real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The role involves representing various public and private real estate companies, REITs, institutional investors, and financial investors in a variety of complex transactions such as acquisitions, restructurings, financings, and commercial real estate development. Candidates must possess excellent analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, strong business judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This opportunity is available in multiple office locations across the U.S.

Location:

  • Washington, DC

Duties:

  • Lead and manage structured securities offerings, primarily in real estate finance.
  • Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, restructurings, and commercial real estate development.
  • Represent clients in high-level legal transactions, drafting and negotiating related agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Support the development of business opportunities and client expansion.
  • Produce high-quality legal deliverables and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in managing structured securities offerings.
  • Strong experience in commercial real estate law, with a focus on finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal transactions and provide strategic advice.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
  • Experience in an AmLaw 100 firm or similar prestigious firm is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
