A law firm in New York City is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of patent litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering, computer science, and/or life sciences and possess strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of patent litigation, including written discovery, brief writing, deposition taking, and preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex patent law issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to patent litigation matters.
  • Work closely with partners and senior associates on trial preparation and strategy.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on patent infringement and validity issues.
  • Assist with business development efforts to expand the firm's patent litigation practice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-5 years of patent litigation experience.
  • Background in electrical engineering, computer science, and/or life sciences.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Prior experience at a regional or national law firm is preferred.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
