Insurance and Reinsurance Attorney

A law firm in Washington, D.C., is actively seeking an experienced Insurance and Reinsurance Attorney with 3-5 years of expertise in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage issues, particularly under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. Superior research and writing abilities, coupled with excellent academic credentials, are crucial for success in this role.

Duties:

• Manage and litigate insurance coverage and commercial litigation cases, specializing in professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance matters.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to provide strategic legal advice to clients.
• Conduct thorough legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of legal practice with a focus on insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• In-depth understanding of insurance coverage issues, particularly under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
