Job Overview:

A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Law Attorney with a minimum of 7 years of expertise to join a growing employment law practice in Boston, MA. The role focuses on providing comprehensive legal counsel to employers, including policy development, compliance, employee training, and risk management. Duties:

  • Provide legal advice on employment law matters, including wage and hour compliance, workplace policies, and employee handbooks.
  • Guide employers on hiring practices, leadership development, and employee contract negotiations.
  • Lead and facilitate on-site training sessions on harassment prevention, workplace conduct, and leadership development.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and offer strategic legal advice on crisis management and risk mitigation.
  • Draft and implement workplace policies tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Provide specialized counsel to independent schools (K-12) on employment-related issues.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in employment law, focusing on advising employers on compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Expertise in workplace policies, wage and hour compliance, and employee handbooks.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations, training, and crisis management.
  • Familiarity with independent schools (K-12) and their unique employment law needs is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the state bar of Massachusetts.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and workplace compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in policy drafting and legal documentation.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
