A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Environmental Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm's national environmental regulatory, emergency response, and environmental litigation practices, with a focus on matters arising under major federal and Georgia environmental regulatory programs.

 

Duties:

  • Handle legal matters related to major federal and Georgia environmental regulatory programs.
  • Provide support in cases involving the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
  • Contribute to the firm's national environmental regulatory, emergency response, and environmental litigation practices.
  • Take on significant client responsibilities and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrate creative and critical thinking skills in addressing challenging legal and environmental issues.

 

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • An active member of the Georgia Bar or active member in good standing of the Bar in at least one state or the District of Columbia, with the ability to become admitted to the Georgia Bar.
  • 1-3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience with or a demonstrated interest in major federal environmental statutes and comparable laws and regulations in Georgia.
