Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A leading international law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in insurance defense and will be engaged in all phases of litigation. Location:

• Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with clients and senior attorneys

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda

• Take and defend depositions

• Argue motions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including trials and appeals

• Communicate directly with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel

• Prepare detailed case reports and provide ongoing case management

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in insurance defense at a law firm

• Admission to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania (in good standing)

• Admission in additional states is a plus

• Strong familiarity with litigation processes in state and federal courts

• Willingness to work in-office when necessary under a hybrid schedule

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and analytical abilities

• Superior writing and oral communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team

• Comfortable managing all phases of litigation, including discovery and trial
