Junior to Mid-Level Risk Management & Insurance Associate

Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a highly qualified Junior to Mid-Level Associate with 2–4 years of experience in risk management and insurance law. This role offers the opportunity to work within a complex litigation and dispute resolution department. The ideal candidate will handle a broad range of insurance-related legal matters and collaborate with professionals across multiple U.S. office locations. This recruitment is conducted on behalf of the hiring law firm.

Location:

• Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

• Support a wide variety of risk management and insurance matters

• Assist with negotiation and placement of insurance programs, including custom-tailored programs

• Provide claims monitoring and management services

• Work with multiple insurance coverage lines including:

  • Directors & Officers (D&O)

  • Errors & Omissions (E&O)

  • Cybersecurity

  • Transactional insurance

• Function as an "insurance problem solver" for internal clients across the firm

• Collaborate with senior lawyers and cross-functional teams

• Draft legal documents and provide strategic legal advice

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

• Strong familiarity with foundational insurance coverage concepts

• Understanding of the dynamics of the U.S. insurance market

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to develop deep subject-matter expertise in risk management and insurance law

• Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Outstanding academic credentials

Certifications:

• Admission to a U.S. state bar, or eligibility to obtain bar admission promptly
