Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney for its growing national management-side Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have four to five years of relevant labor and employment law experience and be knowledgeable about federal and state labor and employment laws.

Duties

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including interviewing witnesses and reviewing documents.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Interact with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Attend court appearances.
  • Provide advice on workplace matters, including hiring, employee discipline, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Four to five years of labor and employment law experience.
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
