A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Aspen. The Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on projects spanning from Alaska to New York. They will preferably have experience in the renewable energy industry and familiarity with power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contacts, equipment supply contracts, construction contracts, or similar agreements. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients in the clean energy industry on project development and finance matters
  • Draft and negotiate various agreements related to renewable energy projects
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions involving renewable energy companies or assets
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on project development and financing issues
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients on renewable energy projects
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Stay updated on developments in renewable energy law and industry trends

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry is preferred

 

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of project development and finance principles
  • Experience with renewable energy agreements such as power purchase agreements and equipment supply contracts
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
