Associate Attorney needed for Philadelphia office

A law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-10 years of experience to join its medical collections practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for appealing insurance denials, drafting pleadings, discovery, and correspondence, negotiating settlements, taking depositions, and preparing clients for testimony and court appearances. Additionally, experience with medical insurance and reimbursement law is preferred. The Associate Attorney should possess strong legal writing and research skills, excellent communication skills, strong organizational, problem-solving, and administrative skills, as well as proficiency and an ability to learn technology.

Duties:

• Appeal insurance denials
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
• Negotiate settlements
• Take depositions
• Prepare clients for testimony
• Make court appearances

Requirements:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars
• 3-10 years of general experience
• Experience with medical insurance and reimbursement law (preferred)

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar
