A law firm in Winston Salem, NC, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Real Estate Investment and Development Associate Attorney to join its national practice. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in corporate leasing, portfolio management, construction, property acquisition and disposition, real estate financing and investment, real estate joint ventures, and/or development and redevelopment.

Job Duties:

  • Handle complex legal matters related to real estate investment and development, including corporate leasing, portfolio management, construction, property acquisition and disposition, real estate financing and investment, and joint ventures.
  • Provide legal counsel and support for development and redevelopment projects, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, reviewing contracts, titles, and other relevant documents.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate investment and development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to facilitate successful real estate transactions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate leasing, portfolio management, construction, property acquisition and disposition, real estate financing and investment, real estate joint ventures, and/or development and redevelopment.
  • Strong academic credentials and a solid background in sophisticated real estate law.
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic and the desire to work collaboratively with and contribute to the national practice of the firm.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of North Carolina.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina.

Skills:

  • Proficient in real estate law with a focus on investment and development.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
