Job Duties

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areas.
  • Respond to office actions and communicate effectively with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Assist in preparing legal opinions on patentability, infringement, and freedom to operate.
  • Conduct thorough prior art searches to inform patent strategies and opinions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and implement intellectual property strategies.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Virology, or Molecular Biology is mandatory.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role within a law firm or corporate setting.
  • Strong academic credentials reflecting a commitment to excellence.
  • Admission to practice before the USPTO is a requirement.
  • District of Columbia Bar admission is mandatory.
