Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a skilled and experienced Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney with 3-8 years of patent prosecution experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in interfacing with clients and inventors throughout the patent process, preparing and prosecuting patent applications both domestically and internationally, and conducting various patent-related analyses.

Job Details:

• Interface with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process.
• Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications in and abroad.
• Conduct freedom-to-operate, infringement, and patentability analyses.
• Assist in other responsibilities or projects, as requested or needed.

Requirements:

• A degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of patent prosecution experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of machine learning, molecular biology, and sequencing technology.
• Familiarity with gene editing, immunology, microscopy, and systems biology is a plus.
• Graduated with a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to the USPTO.
