Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a Project Finance Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in energy and/or infrastructure-focused project finance work. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in complex project finance transactions, including renewables, power, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects. Superior communication skills, excellent academic credentials, and membership in the New York State Bar are essential.

Duties:

  • Handle complex project finance transactions, focusing on energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Work on financing transactions involving multiple creditors and capital providers.
  • Negotiate and document inter-creditor terms.
  • Provide legal counsel on various project financing solutions, including commercial bank facilities, bridge and term loan Bs, taxable and tax-exempt U.S. private placements, and 144A bonds.
  • Manage construction financing, holdco financing, and refinancing matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in energy and/or infrastructure-focused project finance work.
  • Extensive experience in complex project finance transactions.
  • Highly motivated with excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Membership to the New York State Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Membership to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of project finance principles.
  • Proficiency in negotiating and documenting complex financing transactions.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal counsel in energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
