Patent Agent/Patent Specialist (Biotechnology)

A law firm in Raleigh is seeking a Patent Agent/Patent Specialist (Biotechnology) to contribute to the identification, drafting, and prosecution of patent applications in emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a closely related discipline, showcasing strong technical skills, excellent writing abilities, and exceptional attention to technical detail.

Duties:

• Identify inventions through technical discussions with inventors.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications focused on emerging technologies.
• Coordinate the prosecution of patent applications in various jurisdictions.
• Conduct searches to distinguish inventions from the current state of the art.
• Prepare reports and support documentation to aid in the management of patent portfolios.

Requirements:

• Recent graduate students are welcome to apply.

Education:
