A law firm in Fresno is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Attorney with 5+ years of experience to provide counsel to employers on a wide range of ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be adept at advising on retirement plans, health, and welfare plans.

 

Duties:

  • Counsel employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans.
  • Provide legal advice on compliance issues related to employee benefits.
  • Draft and review plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other related materials.
  • Assist with plan administration matters, including IRS and DOL audits.
  • Keep abreast of changes in employee benefits laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop effective strategies for managing employee benefits.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on employee benefits.
  • Strong understanding of ERISA and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the State Bar.

  • In-depth knowledge of ERISA and employee benefits laws.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
