Job Details:

  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents.
  • Advise clients on legal rights and assist in developing defense strategies.
  • Gather evidence to formulate a defense or initiate legal action.
  • Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses, and prepare for trial.
  • Prepare legal briefs, and develop strategy, arguments, and testimony for case presentation.
  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Confer with colleagues to establish the basis for legal proceedings.
  • Communicate and maintain relationships with experts, preparing them for deposition and trial.
  • Prepare responses to written discovery requests and defend clients during corporate depositions.

Requirements:

  • Law degree.
  • 4-6 years of experience in the practice of law.
  • Licensed to practice law in Washington state; Oregon license is a plus.
  • Experience with general tort litigation, class action cases, and second chair trial experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and convey complex information and concepts.

Education:

  • Law degree required.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Washington state; an Oregon license is a plus.
