Job Title: Attorney

Job Overview:
A Charleston-based law firm is seeking a driven attorney to handle real estate litigation matters, particularly Quiet Title actions. This role requires courtroom appearances, title issue analysis, and document preparation in a fast-paced legal environment. Ideal for candidates looking to join a reputable team with a solid reputation in real estate and civil legal matters.

Duties:

  • Review and analyze property title chains to identify legal defects

  • Obtain and assess records from the Delinquent Tax Office

  • Perform in-depth public records research

  • Draft legal pleadings related to quieting title to real estate

  • Appear in court for Quiet Title actions and related proceedings

  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and provide actionable advice

Requirements:

  • Prior exposure to civil litigation preferred

  • Active membership (in good standing) with the South Carolina Bar or sitting for the 2025 exam

  • Familiarity with South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
