Duties:

  • Supervise and manage the lifecycle of real estate closings, including both residential and commercial matters

  • Review and certify title documents and ensure title conditions are satisfied before closing

  • Coordinate with buyers, sellers, brokers, agents, and lenders to facilitate smooth transaction execution

  • Draft and/or review a range of transactional documents such as deeds, lease agreements, sales contracts, and lending instruments

  • Provide professional, informative, and reassuring interactions with clients to support their understanding and confidence

  • Review final settlement statements and authorize disbursement payments

  • Participate in firm development efforts through relationship-building and client engagement

  • Deliver informational sessions and training on legal issues related to property transfers

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in real estate closings, with a preference for residential transaction exposure

  • Active licensure and good standing with the South Carolina Bar

  • Strong interpersonal communication and timely correspondence capabilities

  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to engage with the community and professional networks

  • A results-oriented mindset and a strong sense of personal accountability

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in South Carolina
