Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Washington D.C. is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Attorney with a passion for developing standup and trial experience in high-stakes technology disputes. The successful candidate will play a lead role in major litigation, taking and defending depositions, writing and arguing substantive motions, and significantly contributing to trial teams, including the preparation of witnesses, pretrial argumentation, and overall strategy. This role requires a seasoned professional with 8+ years of trial-focused civil litigation experience, particularly involving patents.

Duties:

• Develop standup and trial experience in high-stakes technology disputes.
• Lead major litigation cases, taking and defending depositions.
• Write and argue substantive motions effectively.
• Meaningfully participate in trial teams, including the preparation of witnesses, pretrial arguments, and strategic planning.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of trial-focused civil litigation experience involving patents.
• Juris Doctorate degree.
• Strong substantive legal skills.
• Ability to lead and manage case teams with limited partner supervision.
• Undergraduate degrees in engineering, chemistry, biology, and/or computer science fields are valuable.
