A law firm based in Sausalito, CA, is seeking a dedicated Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join its established team of litigators. The ideal candidate should be admitted to the California Bar and possess 1-7 years of legal experience in either a law firm or in-house setting. While preference is given to candidates with labor and employment experience, those with a background in general civil litigation are welcome. Key qualifications include excellent legal research and writing skills and strong communication and interpersonal abilities. This position includes an annual billing requirement of 1,900 hours, with additional bonuses available for hours worked beyond this minimum.

Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with the firm's established team of litigators.
  • Provide legal support in labor and employment matters and general civil litigation.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
  • Prepare high-quality legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and contracts.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing parties.
  • Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions.
  • Represent clients in labor and employment legal proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and records.
  • Meet annual billing requirements and pursue bonus opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • 1-7 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
  • Preference for labor and employment experience, but general civil litigation experience is welcome.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
