Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Washington, DC, is actively seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience at a major law firm. The ideal candidate will have expertise in general commercial litigation, as well as experience in criminal or regulatory investigations and compliance. Strong academics and exceptional writing skills are essential, and candidates with a federal judicial clerkship background are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties:

• Handle general commercial litigation matters for clients.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court, including arguing motions and presenting evidence.
• Assist in criminal or regulatory investigations and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and development.
• Maintain case files, documents, and exhibits in an organized manner.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all aspects of litigation.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience at a major law firm.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic and writing skills.
• Experience in general commercial litigation.
• Exposure to criminal or regulatory investigations and compliance.
• Federal judicial clerkship experience is a definite plus.
