Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with extensive experience in litigation, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and analytical skills, a science background, and expertise in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation. This role requires superior research abilities, project management proficiency, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
• Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external parties.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as necessary.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
• A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) is required.
• Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• J.D. degree.
• Admission to the DC Bar.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.

Education and Certifications:

• J.D. degree.
• Admission to the DC Bar.
