Estate Planning Attorney

A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney with 5-15 years of experience to work on foundational estate planning. The candidate will be responsible for highly customized drafting of estate planning documents, advising clients on trust design and structure, conducting research on

estate and tax issues, and evaluating and coordinating template documents and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Draft highly customized foundational estate planning documents.
• Meet with and advise clients on the design and structure of revocable living trusts.
• Research estate planning and tax issues.
• Evaluate and coordinate/update template documents, letters, and procedures.
• Interact comfortably with clients and management, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Adapt and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, responding to client demands.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the California Bar.
• 5-15 years of estate planning experience.
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of estate and gift tax.
• LLM or strong background in tax law preferred.
• Broad knowledge of corporate matters affecting closely held companies helpful.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Member in good standing of the California Bar.
