Job Overview

A highly regarded law firm is seeking an Infrastructure Associate Attorney to join its Energy & Infrastructure Practice. This role involves advising clients on infrastructure projects, including Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), project financing, and drop-down transactions. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with equity sponsors, financing parties, and private sector participants in the infrastructure sector.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on infrastructure-focused projects, including PPP transactions, project financing, and drop-down structures.
  • Represent equity sponsors, lenders, and other stakeholders in infrastructure and energy-related transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transactional documents, financial structuring agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with clients, investors, and internal teams to facilitate project execution.
  • Keep abreast of legal, regulatory, and market trends affecting the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Requirements

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in infrastructure transactions, project finance, and PPP transactions.
  • Experience advising equity sponsors, lenders, and private sector participants in infrastructure projects.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the State Bar of the office where the candidate will be located.

Skills

  • Expertise in infrastructure law, project finance, and public-private partnerships.
  • Ability to handle complex transactions and contractual negotiations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, investors, and internal legal teams.
