This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in general liability, specifically in insurance defense.

Job Overview

The Litigation Attorney (General Liability) will be responsible for handling a caseload of general liability matters, primarily in insurance defense. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse cases, represent clients in court, and contribute to the success of the firm's litigation practice.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of general liability matters, including insurance defense cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on case-specific issues.
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and strategic guidance.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategies and approaches.
• Stay current with developments in general liability and insurance defense laws.
• Maintain detailed and accurate case records and files.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
• 5+ years of experience in general liability, particularly in insurance defense.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Experience with depositions, motions practice, and trial work.

Education & Certifications:
