Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking an Attorney with substantial experience in real estate finance law, particularly in loan origination and asset management. Duties:

  • Manage real estate finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing activities.
  • Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
  • Execute asset management and workout activities related to real estate finance matters.
  • Conducted secondary market repurchase facility work and developed other exit strategies for lenders.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various real estate finance matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing real estate finance law in a large law firm environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in running transactions on behalf of lenders, including extensive involvement in loan origination work and asset management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate finance, including mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and secondary market repurchase facilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Solid experience in real estate finance law, particularly in loan origination and asset management.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
