The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctorate (JD) and an LLM in Taxation, be licensed to practice in the State Bar, and possess tax court experience. Strong academic credentials and analytical skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with civil and criminal tax controversy, whistleblower claims, and voluntary offshore disclosures.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in tax controversy matters before administrative agencies and courts.
  • Handle civil and criminal tax cases, whistleblower claims, and voluntary offshore disclosures.
  • Provide legal advice on tax-related issues to clients.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of complex tax issues.
  • Prepare legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop case strategies.
  • Attend tax court hearings and proceedings.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) and LLM in Taxation are required.
  • Licensed to practice in the State Bar.
  • 3-5 years of tax litigation experience.
  • Tax court experience is mandatory.
  • Strong academic record and analytical skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
