Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Debt Finance Associate Attorney will handle upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work within deadlines.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience handling upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds.
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
  • Must be admitted to practice in CA.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
