Family Law Associate Attorney

A boutique law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Family Law division. This role involves managing both non-complex and complex domestic matters from initial consultation through litigation or settlement. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in family law and be a tactful litigator with strong writing, negotiation, and client communication skills. Location:

Duties:

• Conduct client meetings and initial consultations

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, and court orders

• Represent clients in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, and related family law issues

• Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client goals

• Negotiate settlement agreements

• Apply Georgia family law, local court rules, and rules of evidence

• Manage assigned cases independently from inception to resolution

• Supervise and delegate tasks to assigned support staff

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in family law litigation

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and understanding domestic law procedures

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients

• Ability to manage multiple cases with attention to detail

• Reliable time management and decision-making skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in-good-standing license to practice law in the State of Georgia
