A law firm in Washington, D.C., is seeking an experienced International Trade Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in Trade Litigation, specifically in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings. The successful candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a solid understanding of the relevant legal environment, persuasive writing abilities, and a willingness to travel internationally. An accounting and/or economics background with proficiency in Excel is preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all facets of antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings.
  • Represent clients before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
  • Manage judicial appeals of agencies' determinations.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Utilize persuasive writing abilities for effective legal representation.
  • Work well under pressure and be willing to travel internationally.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and standing in the District of Columbia Bar.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Trade Litigation, specifically in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings.

 

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of the relevant legal environment.
  • Persuasive writing abilities for effective legal representation.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Quantitative capabilities, with a preference for an accounting and/or economics background.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
