A law firm in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Government Contracts Attorney with 3-4 years of experience working with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) handling leasing matters. The ideal candidate should have expertise in bid protests, claims, and appeals, as well as experience working with the lease contracting staff of the GSA Public Buildings Service (PBS).

 

Duties:

  • Work with lease contracting staff of the GSA Public Buildings Service (PBS) on leasing matters.
  • Provide expertise in bid protests, claims, and appeals related to government contracts.
  • Collaborate with PBS and legal staff personnel in multiple regions.
  • Assist with agency-wide operations of the PBS.
  • Handle competitive procurement phase and post-award lease administration matters.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) handling leasing matters.
  • District of Columbia Bar License required.
  • Expertise in bid protests, claims, and appeals.
  • Familiarity with agency-wide operations of the PBS.
  • Strong understanding of government contracts law and regulations.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • District of Columbia Bar License.

 

Skills:

  • Experience with U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) leasing matters.
  • Knowledge of government contracts laws and regulations.
  • Legal research and writing skills.
  • Communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
