Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior associate with strong credentials to join its expanding Labor and Employment practice in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in employment counseling and litigation, including handling wage and hour class actions, as well as single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases.

Duties

  • Provide employment counseling and litigation support.
  • Handle wage and hour class actions.
  • Manage single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Conduct research and draft motions.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Participate in trial and trial preparation.

Requirements

  • Five to eight years of relevant experience.
  • Admitted to practice in the State of California.
  • Superior research and motion drafting abilities.
  • Proficiency in taking and defending depositions.
  • Trial and/or trial preparation experience.
  • Restrictive covenant and traditional labor experience are a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills

  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
