Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Employment Attorney for plaintiff-side litigation in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will manage a docket of employment law cases, lead courtroom strategies, and collaborate with a seasoned team to advocate for clients' rights.

Duties

  • Manage employment law cases from inception through trial.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Appear in court to argue motions and advocate for clients.
  • Engage with clients and help shape case strategy.
  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
  • Assist in trial preparation and serve as second chair where applicable.

Requirements

  • Active CA Bar membership.
  • 3+ years of plaintiff-side employment litigation experience.
  • Deposition experience required; trial experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently and mentor junior attorneys.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
